Created in 2022, Bordeaux Mentor Week is a not-for-profit five-day education and mentorship programme in Bordeaux that conveys knowledge and access while increasing diversity and inclusivity in the wine world. The insights and support acquired during Bordeaux Mentor Week are meant to empower the scholars in their future careers within the wine or hospitality industry. Founded in 2021, The Gérard Basset Foundation has become the world’s leading charitable foundation dedicated to using the wine, spirits and hospitality industries as a vehicle for change. Bordeaux Mentor Week has been a grantee of The Gérard Basset Foundation since the very first edition three years ago.

According to Romané Basset: “Since 2022, it has been our pleasure to support Bordeaux Mentor Week. Jane and Chinedu's programme enables seven incredible individuals annually to gain first-hand knowledge and invaluable contacts and friendships within the often impenetrable world of Bordeaux. We love hearing how Bordeaux Mentor Week has enhanced the lives of each and every scholar who has undertaken it, and we are excited to continue hearing these stories for many years to come.”

Jane Anson adds: “Chinedu and myself are so thrilled to have had the support of the Gérard Basset Foundation from the very beginning. We look forward to everyone meeting some of our past scholars in London, and celebrating all the Foundation has achieved.”
