Aman Shinde

Aman’s interest in the world of spirits “began as a personal passion”, before evolving “into a professional calling”. He has always been fascinated by “the rich history, intricate craftsmanship and cultural significance of spirits”, and as such he has devoted himself to the subject. Aman holds a degree in Hospitality Management, with a specialism in beverage management, and he has held varied roles within the sector. He has worked as a front-of-house barman in hotels, seeking to provide “exceptional service” and which afforded him an excellent opportunity to discover more about the wide variety of spirits one finds behind the bar; He has worked as a content creator and social media intern for an off-trade spirits retailer, helping to launch their website and creating innovative strategies to generate interest for the business; and now he works as a brand mixologist, creating cocktail experiences and developing signature cocktails, as well as training staff, conducting tastings and engaging with customers. Aman is passionate about broadening access to Spirits education, and so he hopes to use the knowledge gained through his scholarship to create “educational programs and mentorship opportunities tailored to underrepresented groups”.
