Isadora Fornari
Isadora is a Brazilian spirits consultant, based in Salvador, Bahia in Brazil’s northeast and working with producers, bartenders and restaurateurs alike to elevate Brazil’s spirits culture. Her first contact with spirits came through Cahaça, the national spirit of Brazil, but despite wishing to learn more about she soon found that there was very little availability of courses or books on the subject. Thus, she began to study other spirits, on which information was more readily available, and soon became enamoured with this passion of hers. Isadora has gone on to become a well-known name in the Brazilian spirits world, despite it being a male-dominated profession in which she has alas “been in situations where [she] was disrespected in words and in acts”, which can also at times spur “a feeling of non-existence”. She has worked through these challenges, however, growing an impressive following on social media through her innovative content, and judging on international spirits and cocktail panels such as at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
