Tanmay Rathod

Tanmay works as Restaurant Manager at Hotel Les Falaises in Cahors, France. The city of Cahors is where Tanmay’s hospitality career began, as he moved there on his first trip out of his native India. Since coming to the capital of French Malbec, Tanmay was introduced to French wine culture, sparking a desire to study it further. This has led him to attain the Certified Specialist of Wine Certification qualification provided by the Society of Wine Educators, as well as the French Wine Scholar course through his Golden Vines Wine Scholar Guild Scholarship. Tanmay’s passion for French wine continues to deepen, and he is looking forward to deepening his specialisation further in late September 2022, when he will attend Jane Anson’s inaugural Bordeaux Mentor Week, allowing him to learn about and make lasting contact with one of France’s most prestigious, yet also inaccessible, wine regions.
