Dom Pérignon, the renowned Champagne House known for producing only the best vintage expressions of Grand Cru sites across multiple stages of ‘Plenitude’, is proud to announce the creation of a brand new Golden Vines® Scholarship in partnership with Liquid Icons.
The winner of the Dom Pérignon Golden Vines® MW Scholarship will undertake a 2-day intensive educational immersion at Dom Pérignon, learning alongside the winemaking team. The Scholarship winner will acquire an in-depth, first-hand and thus valuable understanding and knowledge of Dom Pérignon, Champagne and the fine and luxury wine sector in general.
The winner will also receive funding to support their Master of Wine (MW) qualification, widely regarded as the pinnacle of wine education.
NB: Candidates need to have intermediate French conversational capability, and therefore French language lessons may be required before joining.
The Dom Pérignon Golden Vines® Immersion Programme
The Scholar will learn alongside the renowned winemaking team of Dom Pérignon. The Scholarship winner will acquire an in-depth, first-hand and thus valuable understanding and knowledge of Dom Pérignon, Champagne and the fine and luxury wine sector in general.

Who can apply?
One of the aims of the Dom Pérignon Golden Vines® MW Scholarship is to support and further inclusion and accessibility in the wine industry. We welcome applications from individuals coming from a wide range of communities, including but not limited to those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, all ethnicities, religions, genders, sexual orientations, disabilities, and individuals affected by conflict. We will ask candidates to explain in their own words what winning this scholarship will mean to them and enable them to achieve. The Dom Pérignon Scholar may already be enrolled on the MW course, or may not yet have started the course. If they fall into the latter category, then they need to be able to show and confirm that they meet the requirements set out for application to the relevant programme:

How do I apply?

Along with the application form, applicants need to submit one signed letter of reference and recommendation provided by a senior wine (or spirits) trade professional with over 15 years of experience in the trade. The letter of reference and recommendation should detail why the referee thinks the applicant should be awarded a Dom Pérignon Scholarship and would benefit from the Dom Pérignon Scholarship’s Internship Programme and Education Grant.

What criteria do the Judges apply in awarding the Dom Pérignon Scholarship?
Assuming the applicant satisfies the requirements for the MW (as detailed via the links above), then the Judges will award the Dom Pérignon Scholarship on the basis of:
Ability
Likelihood of successfully completing the MW
Candidates potential contribution to promoting accessibility, excellence, interaction and learning in the global wine community, as well as the applicant’s interest level and time availability to participate in the MW programme and the immersion at Dom Pérignon
Financial needs
Visa requirements to partake of the Internship programme
