The Degree Programme
The Scholar will undertake the EHL Hospitality Business School’s respected Master of Science HES-SO in Hospitality Management. Widely considered one of the world’s greatest Hospitality Schools, EHL is the global reference in education, innovation and consulting for the hospitality and service sector.
The Internship Programme
Upon successfully completing their Scholarship, the Scholar will undertake an exceptional 6-month paid internship at La Réserve Genève with Michel Reybier Hospitality, a byword for excellence and the highest quality within the sector.

Liquid Icons is hosting The Golden Vines® Awards Ceremony & Dinner scheduled to take place in Paris, France on 13th-14th October, 2023 (the “Golden Vines® event”). At that event, funds will be raised from a Fine Wine, Rare Spirit & Experience Global Online Charity Auction, as well as a Live Auction on the evening, for the Gérard Basset Foundation (the “Charity”). Funding for the Michel Reybier Hospitality Golden Vines® EHL MSc Hospitality Management Scholarship is provided by Michel Reybier Hospitality, EHL Hospitality Business School and the Gérard Basset Foundation. The Internship component of the Scholarship is being offered entirely by Michel Reybier Hospitality.
Who is providing the Michel Reybier Hospitality Golden Vines® EHL MSc Hospitality Management Scholarship?
Who can apply?
The Michel Reybier Hospitality Golden Vines® EHL MSc Hospitality Management Scholarship (hereinafter ‘EHL MSc Scholar or Scholarship’) is available for any BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People Of Colour) and/or BAME (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic) student wishing to study for the EHL Hospitality Business School’s MSc HES-SO in Hospitality Management qualification.
The EHL MSc Scholar can be located anywhere in the world, but must be able and willing to travel to Lausanne for on-site tuition, and also to then travel onto Geneva for their post-graduation internship with Michel Reybier Hospitality. The EHL MSc Scholar needs to be able to show and confirm that they meet the requirements set out for application to the EHL Hospitality Business School’s MSc HES-SO in Hospitality Management programme:
A Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in hospitality, tourism, or related fields.
A Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in a management-related field is accepted, but students will be required to complete a summer course to build contextual understanding.
A minimum of six months’ professional experience in the hospitality industry is required. Internships are included. Through your cover letter and interview, you should also show your interest in hospitality and dedication to develop a career in the industry.
The program is taught in English; non-native English speakers need to provide language proficiency test results. The following English language tests are accepted:
• Cambridge Level: C1 or higher
• IELTS Level: 7
• TOEFL Level: IBT 100
• Pearson Level: 65

What is the deadline for applications for 2023?
13 March 2023
What is the process after I apply within the deadline?
Following the deadline, the Judges will review all applications and will collectively create a shortlist by 27th March. This shortlist will then be sent to EHL Hospitality Business School’s Programme Administrators for review. Applicants will be called to an interview with the EHL Hospitality Business School Administrators. This process will be completed by 17th April. If more than one candidate is approved by the EHL Hospitality Business School’s Programme Administrators, then the Judges will conduct another round of interviews, before making a final decision. You will be informed of this decision by 1st May.
Do I need to apply separately to enrol onto the EHL Hospitality Business School’s MSc HES-SO in Hospitality Management programme?
If the applicant is willing to allow Liquid Icons to share the contents of their completed application – including relevant accompanying documentation – with the EHL Hospitality Business School, and if the applicant reaches the final interview round but is ultimately not awarded the EHL MSc Scholarship, then by applying for the EHL MSc Scholarship, they will automatically be applying for the EHL Hospitality Business School’s MSc HES-SO in Hospitality Management programme. However, in this instance the relevant EHL Hospitality Business School application fees and course fees will be the sole responsibility of the applicant to pay.
What criteria do the Judges apply in awarding the EHL MSc Scholarship?
Assuming the applicant has reached the requisite requirements for the EHL Hospitality Business School’s MSc HES-SO in Hospitality Management programme (as detailed above), then the Judges will award the EHL MSc Scholarship on the basis of:

Likelihood of successfully completing and passing the EHL Hospitality Business School’s MSc HES-SO in Hospitality Management course
Candidates’ potential contribution to promoting diversity, excellence, interaction and learning in the global hospitality community.

What does the EHL MSc Scholarship comprise?
The funding provided for the EHL MSc Scholarship covers:
Application Fee CHF 175
Tuition Fees, CHF 30,500
Facilities & Services, CHF 4,500
Prepaid Food & Beverage, CHF 4,500

An exceptional 6-month paid internship at La Réserve Genève, part of Michel Reybier Hospitality. During the internship, the EHL MSc Scholar will put into practice the skills which they have learned over the course of their MSc programme, and gain real-world experience in both the Marketing & Sales and Food & Beverage departments.
The non-financial component of the EHL MSc Scholarship comprises:
Associated press commitments related to the award of their EHL MSc Scholarship for the duration of their EHL MSc studies
Scholars will be required to make their own travel and/or work visa arrangements in respect of any countries that they are visiting during their Michel Reybier Hospitality Golden Vines® EHL MSc Hospitality Management scholarship programme.
